Boost your mind, body and budget this spring

March 2025

When we welcomed The Co-operative Bank to the Coventry Building Society family in January, we wanted to celebrate with our members and customers in a way that gave back to you. On 1 January 2025, we launched the ‘All together, even better’ prize draw, providing a chance for both our eligible members and The Co-operative Bank customers to win a share of a staggering £292,000* prize fund – a figure which reflects our combined organisation’s age of 292 years.

Here is a message from our Group Chief Executive Steve Hughes on Welcoming The Co-operative Bank to Coventry Building Society.

The draw took place on 31 January, with 27 lucky Coventry Building Society winners receiving prizes. One winner took home the top prize of £25,000, while others received sums of £10,000, £5,000, and £1,000.

Exciting calls and lifechanging moments

Our Coventry Building Society colleagues had the exciting job of contacting the winners, sharing life-changing announcements with some very happy people. From shock and excitement to tears of joy, it’s been a great experience for our team to deliver the fantastic news.

Here’s what some of our winners had to say:

  • Mr Stratford – Cheltenham - £25,000
"Looking at some home improvements and a very nice holiday."
  • Mr Turner – Leicester - £10,000
“It’s our ruby wedding anniversary this year so we're going to celebrate it with a fantastic cruise.”
  • Mrs Bell – Birmingham - £10,000
“Put towards a house deposit to move nearer daughter.”
  • Mr Taylor – Coventry - £1,000
“I have 2 children under 2, who had a wonderful Christmas which this will help pay for.”

Celebrating with you, our members

Organising the draw was a huge collaborative effort, with teams across Coventry Building Society and The Co-operative Bank working together to make it happen. It was amazing to celebrate this exciting new chapter together with our members and customers.

As our Society continues to grow, we’ll keep our members at the heart of everything we do.
