Better support for people with communication difficulties
We know that one in five of all people in the UK will experience a communication difficulty at some point in their lives. That’s why we’re delighted to announce that after we joined Communication Access UK, our branch and telephone support colleagues have now completed their training. This will help improve their skills and confidence to engage with people with communication difficulties more effectively.
Several other departments also committed to completing the training. This will not only help our members, but also our colleagues, which makes the Society a more inclusive place to work too.
Communication Access UK is an initiative led by the Royal College of Speech and Language Therapists and developed in partnership by charities and organisations that share a vision to improve the lives of people with communication difficulties.
