We understand you might be worried during this unusual time. We’re here to help and support you. Most of our services are available online.  We’re trying to keep our branches and phone lines open for those who really need us. It’s essential that you don’t visit a branch unless it’s absolutely necessary , and please leave our phone lines free for those in greatest need of help.

Corporate Governance

The Board places the highest priority on effective corporate governance of the Society as part of its commitment to Putting Members First. These arrangements support the Board in its role of directing and managing the affairs and business of the Society – in a way that best serves the interests of our members and considers the needs of the Society’s wider stakeholders.

More information on the Society's corporate governance arrangements and the way we manage risk is in the 2019 Annual Report & Accounts together with our 2019 Pillar 3 Disclosures.

The Board and its Committees

The Board is the senior decision-making body of the Society. It comprises executive and non-executive directors, and has delegated certain specialist matters to its Committees.
