When transaction takes place/ money available
    

We take the amount off your balance on the date you agreed with the organisation, or on the next Business Banking Day


When you can cancel a payment

Up to 8pm on the Business Banking Day before we’re due to make the payment. We recommend you also contact the organisation you’re paying.

One-off Debit Card payments 

When we must receive your instruction

N/A – you instruct the organisation you want to pay and they make the request.


When transaction takes place/ money available
      

We take the amount off your ‘Available balance’ on the date you agreed with the organisation


When you can cancel a payment

It’s not possible to cancel after you’ve confirmed the transaction (ie: after you’ve entered your PIN or given your card details)

Recurring Debit Card payments

N/A – you instruct the organisation you want to pay and they make the request.

We take the amount off your ‘Available balance’ on the date you agreed with the organisation

Up to the end of the Business Banking Day before we’re due to make the payment. We recommend you also contact the organisation you’re paying.

Our withdrawal limits

These are our current limits, but check the Specific Terms of your account to make sure they apply to your account:

Cash over the counter at any Coventry branch
Maximum £500 per day, per account, without notice
With 48 hours’ notice, the maximum is £4,000 per day, per person
Additional ID will be required. 

At a cash machine
Maximum £500 per day (in no more than 5 withdrawals per day)
At a Coventry cash machine, the minimum withdrawal is £10

Online Services
Maximum £50,000 per transaction to a nominated bank account
Maximum £10,000 per transaction to an account with another bank or building society
Maximum £5,000 per transaction to another account held with the Coventry

Debit Card purchases and cashback
Merchant limits may apply
For cashback, the Coventry limit is £1,000 per day (in no more than 5 cashback transactions per day)
If your card is declined when you try to make a large transaction, call us on 0800 121 8899 during our normal business hours.
