How long does an ISA transfer take

As you may know, some providers only offer manual ISA transfers (which can take a bit longer) whereas others support electronic transfers. This is not based on whether you initiate the transfer through Online Services, calling us or visiting a branch but rather on your current provider’s capabilities.

Electronic transfers can take

up to 7 business days

Manual transfers can take

up to 15 business days

Stocks and Shares transfers can take

up to 30 calendar days

In the event of a delay please contact us

We kindly ask that you wait 7 business days after initiating a transfer before contacting us regarding the status of your electronic Cash ISA transfer, at least 15 business days for a manual Cash ISA transfer, and 30 calendar days for Stocks and Shares ISA transfers.

These are the standard timescales for ISA transfers, and there is nothing to worry about if your savings have not appeared in the new account before that time frame has passed.

In case there are delays beyond these time frames, please contact us so we can look into potential reasons for this as soon as possible. If there are delays we’re responsible for, we’ll also backdate the interest.
