Transfer an ISA out of Coventry Building Society
If you want to transfer your ISA out of CBS to another provider, you will have to inform your new provider that you want to make an ISA transfer and they’ll let you know what you need to do.
To make sure your savings remain tax-free, please remember to ask your new ISA provider for an 'ISA transfer'. It's different from a 'transfer’, since if you move money from an ISA into a non-ISA, the money loses its tax-free status.
How long will it take to process my transfer?
Transferring to another Cash ISA can take
up to 15 business days
Transferring to a Stocks and Shares ISA can take
up to 30 calendar days
A flexible ISA allowance is not transferable
Can I transfer my savings from a cash ISA to a different type of ISA?
Can I transfer my ISA to a new provider partially?
If you’re considering transferring your ISA out of Coventry Building Society to another provider, here are some things you need to know:
- If you're transferring money from your current Cash ISA for the current tax year, you need to transfer the full amount.
- If you're transferring money from a previous tax year, you can transfer the full amount or part of it. You can also transfer savings from more than one previous ISA.
- If you've created a flexible ISA allowance, you can't transfer the allowance to another ISA.
