British Sign Language

You can now speak to us with a sign language interpreter using InterpretersLive!

About InterpretersLive!

InterpretersLive! is a free online service you can use during our opening hours to talk to us about:

  • Saving accounts
  • Mortgages
  • Your balance
  • A bereavement

It's available Monday to Friday 9am-7pm and Saturday 9am-2pm.

How it works

When you click the button to connect with a qualified BSL interpreter, you'll be taken to the InterpretersLive! website. You'll be connected to a trained interpreter from there.

The interpreter will call us on the right number for the department you choose at the start of the call. They'll relay the conversation between you and us, so everything flows smoothly.

Once connected, the interpreter will:

  • Introduce themselves and let us know they're calling through InterpretersLive!
  • Follow a strict code of conduct, including confidentiality. That means we'll verify your details and talk about your account just as we would if you were speaking to us directly.

Connect via your browser now

Once you click this button, we'll take you to a landing page which will connect you with an intepreter. There's no need to call us at the same time - they'll connect you to us.

Connect via the app

To get started, download the InterpretersLive! app.

Once you have this, you'll find Coventry Building Society in their directory.

We're trained by Communication Access UK

Communication Access UK is an initiative led by the Royal College of Speech and Language Therapists. It was developed in partnership by charities and organisations that share a vision to improve the lives of people who have difficulty communicating.

Being part of this initiative means our branch and telephone teams have been trained:
