Age UK - our charitable partnershipTLC for charities, our charitable partnership

We have supported Age UK since its formation in 2009, when the merger between Help the Aged and Age Concern created the single largest charity looking after older people in the UK.

Their priorities are to:

  • Work towards preventing poverty, ensuring that older people have the maximum income possible
  • Enable older people to participate more in their communities
  • Help older people live long, healthy and independent lives
  • Put a stop to older people being excluded from society

Coventry supports Age UK by:

  • Fundraising - taking part in Age UK events as well as running our own Community Events Calendar.
  • Encouraging staff to get involved by volunteering in a wide range of activities.
  • Working locally with Age UK branches through our Community Partner Programme.
  • Helping to support and raise awareness of their campaigns.

One of Age UKs priorities is promoting financial capability and inclusion amongst the older population. As a financial services provider we are able to use our knowledge and experience in this field to great effect.
