Reset password

If you've forgotten your password, you may be able to reset it straight away.

To do this, you'll need to enter some details and we'll email you a link to follow to reset your password. This link will be valid for two hours. You'll also need to answer a security question and confirm characters from your Grid Card.

To reset your password now, you'll need:

  • To have logged in before and selected a security image
  • To know your Web ID
  • To have a valid email address held with us that you have access to now
  • To have security questions set up and know the answers you gave
  • To have your Grid Card with you

If you don’t have or know all of these things, you won’t be able to reset your password straight away. You can order a password reset letter by post here.

If you've forgotten your Web ID and password, you are not able to reset your password online and will need to reset it by post. If you would like to do this please select 'Reset by post' below.

Once you have reset your password you will be able to retrieve your Web ID online.
