Accessibility
We want everyone to be able to use our products and services, regardless of impairments – so we're constantly looking at ways to make life easier for those with difficulties. Here's what we're currently doing:
In branch
As part of our on-going branch refurbishment programme, we have, wherever possible, done the following:
- Fitted automatic or power-assisted doors
- Removed steps and replaced them with ramps
- Improved the layout within the branches to allow space for manoeuvring wheelchairs
- Introduced more meeting areas to provide suitable private areas for all our customers to discuss their finances
For more information about the facilities in individual branches, speak to the branch - will be happy to help.
Cash machines
Wherever possible our cash machines have wheelchair access and audible keyboards.
Catering for visual impairments
If reading standard print is difficult, you can choose to receive literature in a number of alternative ways:
- Large print
- Braille
- Audio Tape
To register to receive literature in one of the above formats you will need to call us on 0845 766 5522, or write to our Customer Service Centre, Coventry Building Society, Oakfield House, PO Box 600, Binley Business Park, Coventry CV3 2YR.
On receipt of your request your account address will be amended to c/o DL-Laser Room, and all correspondence will be redirected to this department for it to be converted to the requested format.
New Customers
If you are not a member you can also receive information in Large print, Braille or Audio. You will need to contact us each time you require this service by calling us on 0845 766 5522.
Helping with hearing difficulties
If you have it, you can call our Customer Service Centre using your Typetalk system.
And if you're in branch, simply turn your hearing aid to the T-position to take advantage of our portable Induction Loop System.
