Submitting a case

Existing borrower case submission

If you are submitting a case for an existing Coventry Building Society Group borrower you will need to follow the case submission guidelines below.

How to apply for a Residential further advance

Step 1: Check eligibility

Please ensure that your client's mortgage application meets our lending policy before submitting their application, as fees (if applicable) are non-refundable.

Step 2: Confirm customer authority

If you require your clients’ personal or mortgage account information prior to submitting a further advance application you will need to check our Customer authority page, select the appropriate form, complete, scan and email to us using send secure to intermediaries@thecoventry.co.uk Opens new website in another window

Step 3: Request a KFI

Complete the sections listed on the second page of the relevant mortgage application form.

Step 4: Return your scanned forms

Send your signed, completed forms to us via secure email Opens new website in another window to intermediaries@thecoventry.co.uk

Step 5: We'll check eligibility

When we have received your forms we will assess affordability and eligibility based on the information provided.

Step 6: We'll send you a KFI

When we receive your forms we’ll email you a KFI (subject to our lending policy).

Step 7: Complete application

When you have reviewed the KFI with your client, you will need to complete the remaining sections of the relevant additional borrowing application form and return a scanned version to us using our send secure service Opens new website in another window to intermediaries@thecoventry.co.uk

How to apply for a Buy to Let further advance

Step 1: Check eligibility

How to apply for a Residential product transfer

Step 1: Check eligibility

Please ensure that your client’s mortgage application meets our lending policy before submitting their application, as fees (if applicable) are non-refundable. Please note: if there are any changes to your client’s details (e.g. change of name) we will need this information prior to submitting your forms – please call us on 0800 121 7788, and select option 3.

Step 2: Confirm customer authority and request a KFI/mortgage illustration and application pack

Before we can provide you with a product transfer application form, you will need to check our customer authority page, select the appropriate form, complete, scan and email to us using send secure to intermediaries@thecoventry.co.uk
Please note: In order for us to validate your client’s authority you will need to provide us with the date and amount of their last monthly mortgage payment.  We require the exact monthly mortgage payment in pounds and pence and failure to provide this will lead to delays in us providing you with a KFI/Illustration.

Step 3: We’ll send you a KFI/mortgage illustration and application pack

Once we have received your completed form we’ll produce a KFI/mortgage illustration and application pack, and email this to you.

Step 4: Complete and return your scanned and signed application

Applicants are required to sign the mortgage application to approve the terms, please email the signed and scanned document using send secure Opens new website in another window to intermediaries@thecoventry.co.uk

Step 5: We will acknowledge the returned document

We will email you to confirm receipt and that the product transfer will go ahead at the chosen date. Please note for a product transfer to take place on the first day of the month the signed application must be received by the 23rd of the previous month.

Should your client wish to arrange the transfer themselves, they will need to contact our Customer Service Centre on 0800 121 8899. Our Customer Service Centre is open seven days a week, and our advisors are available Monday to Friday 8am-8pm, Saturday 9am-5pm and Sunday 10am-4pm.
