50 Plus Notice - The perfect balance
Our Coventry 50 Plus Notice account offers the perfect balance. A high interest account with a 60 day notice period. And it's exclusive to anyone aged 50 or over.

The 50 Plus Notice savings account is ideal for investing £10,000 or more. And should you need to access your money in a hurry, a withdrawal can be made notice-free subject to a charge equivalent to 60 days' interest on the amount withdrawn.

The rate of interest is currently 6.20% AER/gross p.a. (variable) which includes a 0.60% AER first year bonus. If you choose the monthly interest option the rate is 6.03% gross p.a., 6.20% AER.

In addition to the fantastic interest rate we also guarantee that the AERs will be at least 0.25% above the Bank of England Base Rate until 31 March 2010.

Applying for your account

You can apply for your 50 Plus Notice account online, by telephone or in a branch.

If you apply for your account online we'll automatically arrange access to our Online Services for you. And if you don't already have passwords set-up we'll contact you by post to arrange for you to select them.

You may only ever open one 50 Plus Notice account, either solely or jointly, regardless of however many issues there are. You may not open a 50 Plus Notice account if you have opened a Sixty-Plus 60 Day Notice account.

Managing your account

Once it's opened, you can manage your 50 Plus Notice savings account online (if you have access to our Online Services), by telephone using your passwords or at any of our branches. To make a penalty-free withdrawal all you need to do is provide us with 60 days notice in writing, by telephone or by sending us a secure message. Please note you cannot make cheque or cash withdrawals over the counter at a branch.
