Changes to our website
To align with recommended security practices, we're making some important changes to improve the security of our website. These changes will affect your experience online if you're using an old browser or operating system. If you currently access our website using Internet Explorer 6 (IE6) or anything older, these browsers are no longer supported and you'll need to upgrade your browser to continue using the secure areas of our website, including Online Services.
If you're a Windows XP user, then you must have upgraded to service pack 3 as a minimum requirement in order to continue using the secure areas of our site. Anything less than this will mean you can no longer access our secure content.
Windows XP is no longer supported by Microsoft which means that updates are no longer available. For more information visit the Microsoft website Opens website in another window.
To find out what version of browser you are using, visit the WhatBrowser? Opens website in another window website.

If you have difficulties updating your browser, visit Get Safe Online Opens website in another window or GOV.UK Opens website in another window. If you have difficulty using our website and would like to speak to us, please call us on 0800 121 8899.
If you would like to use Online Services, it is important that your PC has certain settings enabled:
We take your right to privacy very seriously. We will not disclose information about you or your accounts to anyone, other than where we have your consent, or where we are compelled or allowed by law to do so.
Most browsers will be set up to automatically allow cookies, however, if you have changed your settings, we would recommend that you accept cookies from www.coventrybuildingsociety.co.uk, as this will allow our website to work more efficiently and you will not be able to login if they are disabled.
Check if cookies are enabled on your machine with our browser check.
A pop up blocker will prevent any pages that appear on a website in a new or 'pop up' window from appearing. These pages usually appear over the page you are viewing.
We recommend that you enable pop-ups from www.coventrybuildingsociety.co.uk, as you will find it easier to access some of the information available to you. We use pop-ups to take you to our application forms, calculators and highlight important information to you.
If you prefer not to enable pop-ups from us, you will still be able to use Online Services, but you won't be able to see some of the help sections that appear in a pop up window.
Check if pop-ups are enabled on your machine with our browser check.
Temporary internet files
Most browsers will store copies of web pages, images and other temporary files for faster viewing later. To ensure that you are seeing the latest versions of our pages we would recommend the settings for your 'temporary internet files and history settings' are set to 'automatically', this will ensure that you always see the latest version of our web pages.
To find out how to do this for your browser to go the browser 'Help' section.
To find out if you will be able to use Online Services with your browser please click on our browser check.
You can also check whether you have any of the above enabled by going to your browser Settings, or if you are not sure where to find these go to your browser Help section, which is usually displayed in the bar at the top of your screen.
This protection is in addition to your anti-virus software and firewall, it doesn't replace them, but works alongside them to provide an additional layer of protection.
