Benefits of our online serviceBenefits of our online service

We've designed our online intermediary service to make it as simple as possible for you to meet the needs of your clients.

Our service is based on three key stages to a successful mortgage sale:

  1. Choose a product and produce a Key Facts Illustration (KFI)
  2. Create an Agreement in Principle (AIP) based on our lending policy
  3. Complete and submit an application

Each key stage flows into the next so that you don't have to re-enter your client's details each time. You can start the process at any stage, and you can stop and re-start at any time, retrieving your case details whenever it's convenient for you.

More information

Product selection and KFI

You can produce a fully compliant KFI for any of the products offered by Coventry Mortgages or Godiva Mortgages.

Our KFI system has an in-built product filter to help you identify those products that best meet the needs of your client. Our automatic cascade systems mean that you are presented with a choice of products for your client, from either the Coventry Mortgages or Godiva Mortgages ranges.

You can split your client's mortgage loan between payment type. You can also add an additional element to the main loan, for example to fund home improvements.

You can retrieve the KFI's you've created for your client at any time resuming the case or going back and amending the details to produce a new KFI.

Agreement In Principle (AIP)

AIP is available as a first check to indicate if your client meets our lending criteria. If our lending criteria is met, we'll then carry out a full online credit history check using third party credit scoring data.

An AIP does not secure the mortgage scheme. Once you receive an 'acceptance' for an AIP you must convert it to a full application.

You can move straight through from the AIP stage to application submission without having to re-enter your client's details.

Application

Your online application is submitted directly to the Intermediary support team. By submitting your application online you'll benefit from a faster underwriting service and quicker turnaround to offer stage.

If you've already gone through an online AIP for your case you won't have to re-enter all of your client's details. You can also save your client's application at any stage and return to it later, using your unique Case ID number.

Case tracking

Once your application is submitted, our case tracking service will keep you up to date with the progress of your client's case through underwriting. Live updates are available, detailing any outstanding documents on a case, as well as our lending decision at the end of the process.

Procuration fee payments

You can review your payment statements online. We'll also send you an email reminder each time a payment is credited to your bank account.

Sending emails securely

Our Send Secure email service enables you to use email to send and receive information with the safe knowledge that the content and any attachments are transmitted securely. To comply with the Data Protection Act, client confidentiality must be maintained and to help you to do this, it’s essential that all emails containing customer details or scanned documents are sent using Send Secure.
