Security advice
In order to safeguard the privacy of your client's personal information you must follow our security guidelines, which include:
- Never let anyone you have not expressly authorised know your Introducer code or password.
- Never write down your passwords, save them on a computer, or allow anyone else you have authorised to use it, write it down.
- Never let someone watch you type in your password.
- Never leave your computer unattended whilst you are logged in to this service.
- Never write your password in an email even if it looks like the request came from us. We will never ask you to write down your password in an open communication.
- Never give your full password over the phone. We will never ask for your full password over the phone.
- Never write your clients personal details in an open email to us. Always refer to your client using the Case ID.
- Always log out of the service by clicking on 'Log out' to break your connection to the secure service.
You must stay aware of the security issues surrounding communication by email and use of web services. We also strongly recommend that you install a personal firewall, anti-virus software and ensure that your browser is kept up to date.
