What to expect
As a new member of staff, you'll receive a warm welcome as part of our two day corporate induction course. Then, whether you work in our call centres, the branch network or one of our head office departments you will receive role specific training. This will enable you to take advantage of a wide range of personal development courses to help you do your job effectively and to grow in your role.
For example, if you join us as a customer service assistant in one of our branches, you will receive over 9 days of face to face training over your first 3 months with the Coventry. We even have a mock branch to make your learning as 'real' as possible.
Our approach
We adopt a combination of methods to ensure all aspects of your learning and development are effective. This can range from electronic learning at your desk so you can study at your own pace to face to face training courses through to on the job training and coaching. We can also support your needs through attending external courses or further education, with sponsorship for a variety of vocational further education courses.
So no matter how you prefer to learn, we'll support you all the way. And if you have the desire and potential, we will seek to help you grow into future roles as well.

This is not just done internally - we hold the 'Investors in People' award (and have since 1998).
